Summer of 2001 we decided we better put a new roof on the house, we decided to do it our self, Phillip our 4'th son was of a big help in this project. With my asthma I relized that carrying them bails of shingles up the ladder to the roof was not going to work well, I was right out of breath just unloading the pickup, so with a bit of brain scratching I rigged up with some rope, pullys, a board, and a scrap peice of plywood a elevator for hauling the shingles to the roof, the ham tower was a great help to support all this hardware, surpriseing what you can come up with when you scratch your brain!
